Planning Library Research
This module of the tutorial will help you to understand the process
of conducting library research and how this tutorial can help you to
research more effectively. For this reason, if you have not used this
tutorial before it is recommended that you begin with 'The library research
process'. The overview provided here of the different tools, resources
and collections available will help you to plan your research.
This module will help you to:
- Analyse your research subject and break it down into searchable keywords.
- Refine those keywords in order to obtain the right results.
- Understand what the different research tools and resources are and
what they do.
- Identify the range of institutions and collections open to you.
- Keep appropriate records.
